Your new job
The management team of the adult area has developed a common starting point and direction for the area's leadership and development work. We are now looking for an engaged and goal-oriented Deputy Area Manager who wants to lead the continued work together with us.
The leadership within the adult area should, in accordance with the overall stance of the social administration, be characterized by health-promoting leadership based on trust, knowledge, and learning, where employees' knowledge and resources are utilized for development in a direction that creates value for citizens. As a Deputy Area Manager, you will be organizationally subordinate to the Area Manager, who is also responsible for the operational management of the assignment. The role includes being a support to the Area Manager and unit managers in management tasks based on responsibility for both citizens, employees' work environment, and finances. The role also includes a special responsibility for leading and ensuring the systematics and documentation of the area's ongoing development work.
The position of Deputy Area Manager is a new position, which means that a joint effort will be made to work together with the Area Manager and the management team to clarify tasks and areas of responsibility.
The mission of the adult area is to provide social support to adults based on the following areas: harmful use and dependence, support to leave a criminal lifestyle, victims of violence, perpetrators of violence, support for individuals who sell and buy sex for compensation, and social emergency services. Our operations are located in different parts of Jönköping municipality. Your workplace will be at Västra Storgatan 16 in Jönköping.
Your qualifications
You have a completed and approved university degree of at least 180 credits (bachelor's degree), either as a social worker or in behavioral sciences, community-oriented education, or other education with a university degree that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have documented management experience in social work. You also have previously documented experience in leading, implementing, and following up development work. Work experience in social work is a requirement. You have excellent knowledge of the Swedish language, can express yourself easily in both speech and writing, and have very good computer skills.
You have a great ability to independently plan your work in a structured manner and thrive in a changing environment. You have the ability to see the big picture, good collaboration skills, and are a role model in your interactions, both internally and externally.
It is meritorious if you have documented management experience from individual and family care as well as experience from working in a politically governed organization. Experience in being a manager of managers is also meritorious.
A valid driver's license (B) is required for the position.

The operations should be based on a health-promoting approach where citizens' resources are utilized and strengthened through self-determination, participation, and influence. The social administration includes the functions of elderly care, disability care, individual and family care, and health and medical care functions.
The individual and family care department is responsible for ensuring that families and individuals receive services, information, advice, support, treatment, financial support, and other assistance according to, among other things, the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Care of Abusers in Certain Cases (LVM), and the Act with Special Provisions on the Care of Young People (LVU).
Good to know
The recruitment concerns a full-time position as Deputy Area Manager with a start date by agreement. A probationary period will be applied.
